The Cupressus is an easy garden plant. It is reasonably hardy, though we recommend protecting it with a tree cover through a long frost. The cypress is also happiest in a sheltered spot.

The Cupressus has moderate to low water needs. It is important that the soil stays slightly moist at all times, but do not let the roots sit too wet. Make sure the soil drains well so excess water can run off and the plant stays healthy.
